Dreamforce Recap

Last week I had the privilege of attending the largest technological conference in the world, Salesforce’s renowned Dreamforce.  It took place in San Francisco and had over 130,000 registered attendees taking over a large part of the city! The Litmos team went to Dreamforce with our parent company, CallidusCloud, a top 5 partner of Salesforce.

This year’s conference focused on demonstrating how to connect with customers in a whole new way, a theme that not only applies to Salesforce but is also very present in the CallidusCloud office.  And Litmos is no stranger to this concept as well by reinforcing the knowledge that keeps your employees informed while connecting with customers.

There was a ton of excitement as Salesforce and partners alike had plenty of products and news to share.  Part of the fun included performances by both Green Day at AT&T park and Huey Lewis and the News as well as appearances from Haitian prime misister Laurent Lamothe Bono and Sean Penn with their support for the tragedy in Haiti. It’s clear that when Salesforce plans an event, they sure go big! Outside these major appearances, I had the privilege of having hundreds of conversations with professionals from all over the world, gaining new insight to unfamiliar technology along with sharing the good word of CallidusCloud and Litmos.

The CallidusCloud and Litmos teams were showing off the Litmos Salesforce app (available in the App Exchange) at our expo booth.  With this app you and your team can access Litmos directly from within Salesforce without needing to sign in twice.  View Salesforce’s user course results and set up Salesforce reports and dashboards with Litmos data.  If you use Salesforce and need a new LMS or currently use Litmos, you need the app!

Overall, it was an extremely successful week and I hope to be a part of the experience again next year!
