BOSCO Connect Limited is a New Zealand based company that supplies power, phone and Internet to residents of inner city apartments.

Why do we need effective training?
Toby Warren, Managing Director at BOSCO says “Electricity retailers do only three things. We read meters, we write bills and we collect money. The hardest of all is reading meters.”

For BOSCO incorrect readings are a costly reality so having a team of skilled meter readers is essential.

How did we implement Litmos?
In May 2009, BOSCO implemented Litmos as its primary method of training meter readers and in the first 6 months has realized significantly improved results.

Using a combination of PowerPoint based slides, screencasts, interactive worksheets and a final exam BOSCO says the online training via Litmos has greatly improved the quality of their meter readers and meter reading.

With meter readers better prepared to effectively do their jobs BOSCO has seen a remarkable decrease in incorrect readings which has been positively reflected in their bottom line. In Warren’s words, “The financial return for us in engaging Litmos is stratospheric”
