Using eLearning to manage organizational employee performance
Employee performance management is the systematic process used to define a shared understanding of how to improve organization effectiveness in the achievement of an organization's goals and missions. Employee performance management is about making sure the organization's objectives align with the employees' set of skills, competency, development plans and results. The main focus highlights employee improvement, learning and development to reach the organization's goal and create a high performing workforce. This type of management includes:
planning work and framing expectations
developing the ability to perform
regularly rating performance
rewarding satisfactory performance
Make sure you set goals and plan work routinely. Keep records of your employees to ensure these goals are continually being met and employees are receiving feedback on their progress. If all else fails (or before you get to that point) implement a system that aligns with your performance management tracking system. More times than not, a Learning Management System could work hand-in-hand with any current tools you use, or replace these tools completely for more of a one stop shop.
