There are four ways to add new users to your Litmos account:
1. Use the Quick Actions widget on the Dashboard
2. Add individuals via the People tab
3. Import a group of users in Bulk via the People tab
4. Using the API
Quick Actions Widget on the Dashboard
Once logged into Litmos, you’re automatically brought to the admin dashboard. We offer a Quick Actions widget that has easy access to create a single user. Clicking “Create a user” will take you straight to creating the new user details.
Add Individuals via the People Tab
This is the most straightforward way to add users to your account one by one. In this way, you will need to go to the People tab, click the ‘Add a new person’ button and fill in the user’s contact information. You will then have the option to email their login details from our system. If preferred, you can copy and paste the email content into your email system.
This works well if you only have a few users to add to your account at one time.
Import a group of users in Bulk via the People tab
You can import a group of users and assign them to teams, courses, and learning paths via our .csv spreadsheet, available for download under the People tab.
Note: Bulk User import access requires the following permissions: Create People, Edit People, Assign People. If a custom role is missing any of these permissions, users with that custom role won’t have the Import people in bulk option.
Using the API
Our API key is the more advanced way to add users to the system. You’ll want to use the API if you’re looking to connect another system to push users into your Litmos account.
