You can follow the bulk import instructions to import users using Litmos bulk import using special characters, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hebrew, and more. However, you may need to make two additional changes to ensure a successful import.
Create a CSV File that Supports Special Characters
Not all programs, including Microsoft Excel, will support CSV files using all characters. Therefore, if you bulk import these users, you may need to export the CSV file from a program that supports special characters. Suppose you are unaware of a program that has this capability. In that case, we recommend using Google Sheets to export the CSV file.
The Language Column
Use the Language column to identify the language of the users that are being imported. See User Language Preference (Culture IDs) for the language codes.
User Time Zones
Litmos Training learning management system stores all dates in UTC format. However, users can configure their time zone, consistent with their local date and time. The user’s time zone offset can be set and updated through various user API requests. The user bulk import function available in the application also relies on the time zone IDs.
