Do I have to download any software?

No! There is no software to download, Litmos is a hosted on-demand training system. You can build, deliver and track training from anywhere you have access to the internet.

 

What are the minimum system requirements to use Litmos?

  • An Internet connection
  • Web browser:
    • Internet Explorer 7+
    • Firefox 2+
    • Safari on Mac 1.2+
    • Google Chrome
  • Javascript and Cookies enabled
  • Flash Player 9+
  • While not a requirement Litmos is best viewed using a minimum screen resolution of 1024×768

 

Will the Litmos team build my training courses for me?

Litmos has been specifically designed to overcome the often difficult task of building engaging training courses. With Litmos, you can rapidly build training courses by uploading your existing training material. Simply upload your PowerPoint presentations, PDF, Word, Excel and other related training documents and Litmos will automatically create a training framework around your information.
Of course if you do need assistance Litmos support is only an email away.

 

I can’t login?

If you have your password right and you cant login you most likely do not have Javascript and Cookies enabled in your browser. These are required by Litmos to operate effectively.

 

Do I have to sign up to a long term contract?

No. All of the Litmos license options are based on a monthly fee and you can cancel at anytime.

 

How do I pay for my Litmos license?

Litmos accepts both VISA and MasterCard which are processed using the secure PaymentExpress gateway. Payments are processed on a monthly basis.

How do I cancel my Litmos service?

To cancel your Litmos license simply send an email to support [at] litmos.com. Your account will be cancelled from that point on and there will be no further charges. There is no part month refund for time not used.

 

Do you provide phone support?

Yes. Phone support is available based on the pricing plan that you select. However we do prefer to manage support requests by email as it allows us to more efficiently track all issues. We aim to acknowledge all support requests within 6 hours and resolve critical issues within 24 hours.

 

Are my training modules, user profiles, test results etc safe and secure?

Yes. All Litmos accounts are password protected and when your online using Litmos you’re protected by a SSL (HTTPS) secure connection. Our core database and servers are hosted in a world class data center and managed by Rackspace. We also use Amazon’s S3 storage technology to store and serve uploaded files.

 

Are my training courses backed up regularly?

Yes. Litmos has a contract with our service provider Rackspace to provide daily offsite backups.

 

Where are the Litmos servers located?

The Litmos servers are hosted and professionally managed by Rackspace in their Virginia (USA) Data Center. You can read about their Zero-Downtime network/ data center and what makes Rackspace the best place to host mission-critical websites.
