Who is Global Real Estate School?
Global Real Estate School delivers certified online real estate education across ten U.S. states. The school offers both pre-licensing and continuing education (CE) courses to help individuals prepare for and maintain their real estate credentials.
“I provide online learning for real estate certification in ten states, so that students can take their pre and post licensing real estate courses. I also provide continuing education (CE) courses for students,” shared John Mayfield the founder.
Choosing a Real Estate LMS: Why Global Real Estate School Went with Litmos
When evaluating LMS platforms, Global Real Estate School prioritized simplicity, accessibility, and effectiveness. “It was user-friendly and not overwhelming for my students. I wanted something robust, but also a platform that would not have too many add-ons that students would never use. Many of my students are older, and I did not want them to experience tech overload,” said Mayfield.
Litmos stood out due to its clean interface, mobile accessibility, and the LMS integrations with storefronts like Shopify. “This makes my storefront and enrollment seamless,” Mayfield noted. Features such as Learning Paths, Boosts, and the Notice Board have also become central to the school’s day-to-day learning operations. “Litmos Boost feature [which sends assessment questions to learners after a course at specified intervals to aid in memory retention and reinforce learnings] keeps students engaged with previously completed modules” continues Mayfield.
The school’s mission is clear: “Help my students pass their state boards exams,” states Mayfield. “And Litmos helps me do that” he adds.
“The system is easy to use for admin and for learners. When support is needed, the response is prompt and effective. Litmos support is always outstanding”
After Implementation: How Global Real Estate School Won with Litmos
With over 4,300 learners served to date and approximately 100–200 active learners each month, Litmos has allowed Global Real Estate School to streamline its operations and focus more on content development and student outcomes. “Litmos allows me to focus on building my content, and not spending time trying to bootstrap various pieces to make my school work,” said Mayfield.
The school’s integration with Shopify allows for easy course purchases and registration, while automated tracking and certification features help meet state regulatory requirements. “Basically, Litmos provides an easy way to sell my courses through Shopify and report to the real estate commissions for students finishing the courses,” explains Mayfield.
The LMS’s simplicity also translates to high usability: “The system is easy to use for admin and for learners. When support is needed, the response is prompt and effective. Litmos support is always outstanding” confirms Mayfield.

Looking Forward: The Future of Global Real Estate School + Litmos
Global Real Estate School has ambitious plans for the year ahead. “I am hoping to double my number of enrollments,” describes Mayfield. To support this growth, they’re planning new automation initiatives, including connecting their GoHighLevel landing pages to Litmos for automated sign-ups.
Additionally, the school is beginning to explore multilingual functionality to make its content more accessible to a broader audience. Litmos offers over 37 languages to help with this initiative. “With Litmos as a scalable and intuitive platform, the school is positioned to expand its impact and continue helping students achieve their real estate licensing goals,” says Mayfield.
