Unconscious biases are like mental shortcuts that help us quickly navigate information about people. However, they don’t always lead us to fair and objective decisions – especially in the workplace. This course is the third of three courses about workplace diversity and inclusion. It focuses on ways to combat unconscious bias. Designed for leaders, the series provides an understanding of the characteristics of an inclusive workplace, awareness of how and why unconscious bias occurs and practical strategies for tackling it.
