Conflicts of Interest in Outside Employment
Having multiple jobs, either voluntary or paid, is becoming more prevalent every day. These activities can diversify the skills and experiences available to an organization in positive ways. However, if not managed well, outside employment can negatively affect, or appear to negatively affect, an organization. Improving employee awareness on concurrent outside employment and its associated risks can help promote employee commitment. This course looks at how employees can safely declare a conflict of interest in outside employment, focusing on the key values of honesty and integrity.
