Leading Learning – Introduction to Mentoring

Mentoring isn’t just about one person helping another out once. It’s one person sharing specific knowledge and advice with someone who’ll benefit from it, and wants to learn. If you’re in that fortunate position, it’s great to give back to the people who want to be where you are someday. But, finding a great mentor or mentee is just the beginning. You can’t just meet up sporadically, chat about work, and hope that’s enough. If you’re going to do it, you may as well make the absolute most of your mentoring partnership, so that everyone comes away richer from the experience.
