Leading Learning – Personal Safety in the Workplace
All employees have the right to a safe and healthy workplace. Some safety risks are largely within an individual’s own control, such as being safety smart when working alone by staying connected with others and using good judgment. However, some safety risks – such as armed robbery or an active shooter – can be difficult to predict or prevent. Yet, even in these situations, employees can take steps to remain safe. This course provides safety strategies for working alone and responding to armed robbery and active shooter situations.
Covered in this course:
- Techniques to keep employees and other people in the workplace safe
- Precautions that discourage armed robbery attempts
- Actions to take during and after a robbery
- Appropriate actions before, during, and after an active shooter event
